Dear Parent,

The Ohio Department of Health has added a new immunization requirement for students in the 7th grade this year. Your child must get a booster dose of Tdap(preferred) or TD by day 14 of this school year. September 15th is the deadline fo me to have this information on your student. If your 7th grader has received this immunization over the summer months please give me official written documentation so that I may add it to your child's immunization record at school.

The Fairfield Department of Health is planning to have several walk-in clinics for 7th graders. All clinics will be held at the Ohio University/Lancaster campus, 1570 Granville Pike, in the theater area. The dates and times are as follows:

Saturday August 28, 2010 9am-12 noon

Tuesday August 31, 2010 3pm-7pm

Saturday September 11, 2001 9am-12 noon

There will be a $10.00 charge for the shot to be paid in full at the time of service. The health department will take cash or a check, NO CREDIT CARDS! They will give you a receipt if you need it to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

If your child has had a TD(tetanus shot) after their 10th birthday a booster is not needed at this time but I will still need documentation.

Dear Parent,

I saw this information in the Eagle-Gazette and thought it might be of interest. FMC has an eight week class entitled "Loving Solutions". It is subtitled "A Parent's Guide to Raising Tough Kids". The class meets on Thursday evenings beginning September 2 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. If you are interested please call 740-687-8007 to pre-register. The class size is limited.
